New Pluto Art

Pluto, our most mysterious planet, with three magnificent moons that we will see up close in the fabulous summer of 2015 (bring your lotion!) is the topic for these works of art I am making here in the historic days of 2006. Enjoy!

"Grey Alien, Gray Alien" has a guest appearance on this page to show Pluto's tolerance of well-behaved aliens. He currently has no name, but if you would like to suggest a fitting one for him, I will take it under advisement.

As you may have noticed, Pisonides has "Cerberus" and "Persephone" written in his ears. They are my two suggested, consistent-with-the-Ancient-Greek-myth-of-Pluto-god-of-the-underworld mythology of Pluto. Persephone was his wife, but they named her Nix instead which is the Egyptian spelling of Charon's mother-in-law. Cerberus was Pluto's multi-headed dog but they named the recently-discovered outer moon of Pluto after a completely unrelated mythological multi-headed monster named Hydra due to the first intials of Nix and Hydra being the same as the current New Horizons mission to Pluto flying past there on July 14th, 2015. Cute, but consistency to Pluto would have been much cooler. And Pluto is nothing if not cool!

While you are enjoying my art and showing it to all the people you hold dear and know that in doing so you are advancing the cause of modern art, have some Space Toast on me! *s*

Allow me to give out image credits for my latest space art, "The Truth Will Set You Pluto-Bound! {Version 1.1}", starring Pluto, Charon, Nix, Hydra, and Pillsbury's old Funny Face characters from that yummy early 1960's Kool-Aid-type kids drink with lots of not-so-cool cyclamates until the later Faces appear to scare those nasty cyclamates away!

"The Truth Will Set You Pluto-Bound! { Version 2.1 }" features Tart N Tangy Lemon who is pinch-hitting (thank you!) for Tart N Tangy Orange who won a cruise to Nome, Alaska at the last minute.

Tom Marchione was huge in making both versions see the light of the Sun that fills our days with joy, and the light of the computer monitors even when the Moon provides more light. Thanks, Tom. A fellow artist helping make my artistic vision manifest itself with PhotoShop 7.0. Thank you, PhotoShop 7.0, too. You the shop!
