Shang Art

The following images comprise a bunch of cool images from Mike Wrathell, Brent Comstock, Shawn Dalhover, Andrea Harris, Sam, et al, taking turns on MicroSoft Paint to create collaborative, or Shang Art, a process named after Shawn's "Sheng Ching."

I regret to inform you all that on March 26th, 2007, Mr. Shawn Dalhover was killed by a hit-and-run driver. Shawn was a good friend of B. W. C. and I when we all lived in Portland, Oregon. I hope the driver has the integrity to turn himself/herself in. Shawn inspired the process of "shanging" in which a fellow artist adds to the original drawing. The original "Sheng Ching" by Shawn was drawn digitally, and shows that computers are worthy tools to create art. May you rest in peace, Shawn, and we will see you when our numbers are up. In the meantime, we have your art and inspired life.
