Chicago Trip, August 2012
On August 8th, 2012, the day after I won my primary to go mano-a-mano against Eric Smith for Macomb County Prosecutor, I took Amtrak to Chicago for a short, working vacation to see a major retrospective of one of the greatest artists Earth has ever had walk the planet, viz, Roy Lichtenstein. Chen Chen Zhang, a lady from China, also went to the exhibition and we met in line. She was nice and I told her I was an artist. She asked one of her friends to take a picture of us. That is my story, and I am sticking to it. LOL!
The retrospective was very inspring and thought-provoking, and it will help me to create better art. Roy Lichtenstein was a major force in Western/World Art. If you get a chance, see the show! It is going to the National Art Gallery in Washington, D. C. next, and then onto Europe! You can look up Roy on Wikipedia, and it will outline the tour for you, etc.
Jaimerobert "Crunchbird" Johnson is a friend of mine, and a great singer/songwriter/guitarist. His new CD "Tales of The Ultra-Renaissance" was inspired by my art and art movement. I will let you know when it is out!
